Looking for My Muse

Working on a new book project and finding myself too bogged down in every day details to settle in. In his book “On Writing,” Stephen King talks about how he writes some ridiculous amount each day, something like 1,000 words. I write 1,000 words but it’s on 40 different things not one project. For years, everyone I speak to tells me I should write a book. But I’m too unfocused. I can write features, magazine pieces, even short stories but when it comes to novels, books etc., well, I get a little distracted. I blame MTV. So I’m waiting for my writing muse to kick in but even I know that there’s only way to cure writers block: WRITE MORE!
