The literary and media stratosphere decrees that back in the day famous novelists Ernest Hemingway was challenged to write a story in six words. He came up with the following epic: For Sale: Baby Shoes Never Used. Born in Oak Park, Illinois, just minutes from my childhood home on the south side of Chicago Hemingway always had a special place in my heart. Like I, he was a journalist. Like I, he strove to be more. Like I, he wrote earth-shattering, game-changing novels. Oh wait, that last part I haven’t quite done yet but I’m working on it. But more than all that he and I share the love of brevity.
I’m a chatty Cathy, but I like my prose lean and mean. So in a tribute to one of the world’s greatest and most troubled writers I’m here to write a six word story about my life as it stands today.
